What is covered in Extended Warranty ?

Extended warranty applies to eligible manufacturing/quality defects in key high-voltage EV components, as per program terms and eligibility. Coverage includes (eligible items may vary by model):

High Voltage Battery Eligible Parts

Battery
  • High-voltage battery eligible components (battery pack related eligible parts)
  • Eligible battery safety/control related components (as applicable)

Electric Motor System Eligible Components

Motor
  • Traction Motor Assembly and Motor Control Unit (as applicable)

What is not covered in Extended Warranty.

  • Accidents, collision, water ingress due to external causes

  • Water ingress or damage caused by external factors (non-manufacturing causes)

  • Wear & tear / consumables (tires, brake pads, wipers, 12V battery, etc.)

  • Unauthorized modifications, tampering, or non-approved parts

  • Repairs at unauthorized workshops

  • Misuse, negligence, racing/competitive driving

  • Odometer manipulation or inaccurate mileage records

If your 2024 model year Omoda Jaecoo is currently insured with another insurance company and you want to purchase Extended Warranty:

  • Extended Warranty cannot be issued as a standalone policy - it must be issued along with Himalayan Everest Insurance Ltd. Policy
  • Insurance may charge additional premium for past years to enter into extended warranty cover
  • To avail extended warranty benefits, it is mandatory to maintain both: Himalayan Everest Insurance Ltd. Policy + Extended Warranty Policy continuously until the end of the total warranty period (Manufacturer Warranty + Extended Warranty)

Your Omoda Jaecoo comes with Chery's original warranty. Extended warranty is available through SPG Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. via insurance subject to eligibility and terms.

It applies to Battery Warranty upto 240,000 km and Motor warranty is upto 200,000 km

No. Extended Warranty is issued only along with Insurance's Comprehensive Motor Policy.

If insurance is changed from Himalayan Everest Insurance Ltd., extended warranty will be terminated.

Yes, in many cases - you can purchase extended warranty at the time of renewal, when Himalayan Everest Insurance Ltd. renews your Comprehensive Motor Policy. Additional premium for past years may apply.

Accidents, wear & tear/consumables, unauthorized modifications, unauthorized repairs, misuse, and other exclusions apply.
